Law Firm iPhone App’s – Survey Results

I’ve spent the past week encouraging lawyers and legal marketers to take my survey on law firm iPhone applications to see if they are really necessary and worth creating.
I will be posting opinions and alternatives by separate post in the next couple of days.
Here are the results and a big thank you to the ten people who took the time to participate!

From these results I gather most lawyers and legal marketers are opting out of creating iPhone applications for their firms; however, must indicated they weren’t a fad to be ignored either.
What do you think?

Very interesting results — especially the interest in "games".

I'm sure that we'll be seeing more law firms with apps in the near future. That said, we counsel our clients to focus their resources on creating websites (or adjusting their current website) so that it is mobile ready.

Smart phones are improving so fast. An app for bios or directions isn't necessary for the newest phones — the resolution and speed is that good.

More about our thoughts on this subject and solutions that every firm can implement can be found on our blog.

Thanks for conducting this survey. Great stuff! It will be interesting to redo the survey in a few months to see how the results change.

Thanks for your comment Robert. I've downloaded every app I could find, surveyed and read numerous blogs on law firm iPhone applications and I think your solution is the best I've seen to date. I'm going to write more about it in one of my next blog posts!
