So you’ve decided to write a blog (good for you!) and if you’re like most lawyers I know, you’ve stockpiled 2 – 3 weeks worth of content and things are looking good. You’ve taken the first step and you’re ready to go. I’d like to give you one more tip:
please make sure your content is easy to share online!
I worked with a professional (an engineer) who only went to debit machines that required the least number of button pushes. Yes. Really. Generally speaking, people skim content and if their impressed they hit Retweet, Like, Share, whatever. You need to make your content easy to share.
Your content will go viral if it’s easy to share. Although the word viral brings up memories of being sick from polluted pool water, you need not worry. Being viral in the online world is a good thing. You want this. Lawyers have excellent knowledge to share that most people want to read. In a world where content is king, it’s a match made in heaven.
Your content should be easily shared in Facebook, on Twitter and LinkedIn. I also like to share great content with the Stumbling community.
Where do you share content the most? Any buttons I missed?
