- Your LinkedIn connections might “hide” your posts if you tweet too often during the day because you’ll fill up their home newsfeeds.
- LinkedIn is business focused and newsfeed items should pertain to business. Many of my Twitter posts relate to various conversations I am having online. Nobody on LinkedIn would be interested in hearing about them.
- Your Twitter and LinkedIn audiences might vary in style, demographic, profession, etc. They might not be interested in the same things. Take the time to post to each separately.
- People might follow you on LinkedIn and Twitter and who wants to see double posts? Not me.

Another better option is to sync both accounts but make sure you select “Display only tweets that include #IN” under the Settings Tab in the Tweets application on LinkedIn. This way you can be selective about which tweets you want to share on LinkedIn.
So any tweet that included the hashtag #IN would display on LinkedIn as well. This solves both problems!
